Pacific City sits about 90 minutes from Portland, and an Airstream here is about as far from a hotel corridor as a stay gets. Each one has its own fenced outdoor space with a fire pit and an outdoor shower framed by a living plant wall, and the shore pines take the edge off the wind. Quiet hours run 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. The indoor pool and hot tub are on site, and Tidepools Spa & Wellness at Headlands Coastal Lodge across the street takes appointments for massage and facials.

Hart’s Camp has seven restored Airstreams in Pacific City, in four layouts that run from a 1971 vintage trailer to a bunk Airstream that sleeps four. Each one has a full kitchen and bathroom, air conditioning, WiFi, Apple TV and a Chemex for your morning pour-over. Step outside to a private fenced space with a fire pit, a gas grill and an outdoor shower framed by a living plant wall. The beach and Cape Kiwanda are right across the street.

Yes. The Bunk Airstream’s private outdoor space opens to the neighboring Airstream Kumbaya, so the two fenced yards can be joined into one larger space when a group wants it that way. The Bunk sleeps 4 in four twin bunks, and each Airstream keeps its own full kitchen, full bathroom, gas grill and fire pit. Dogs are welcome in pet-friendly units, up to 3 per unit. Bring clothes and food. Every Airstream has a full indoor kitchen, a full bathroom with shower, an air conditioning unit, WiFi, Apple TV and a Chemex pour-over coffee maker with a starter pack of coffee, and dishes, cookware and linens are provided. Outside you get a private fenced living space with a fire pit and one bundle of firewood, a gas grill with propane, a picnic table, Adirondack chairs and an outdoor shower framed by a living plant wall.

Hart’s Camp has seven Airstreams in four layouts. The Premium is a 2017 trailer of about 27 feet, with a queen bed for 2 and an oversized dining bench. The Vintage is the restored 1971 model of about 31 feet, a queen for 2, with wood floor planks, funky backsplashes and wallpaper accents. The Standard sleeps 2 on a queen with leather upholstery, granite-style counters and a TV. The Bunk Airstream runs about 29 feet with four twin bunks for 4.
